MEPIELAN Centre, advancing its innovative activity as INGO, proceeded to a cooperative agreement with the EPLO. More specifically, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed on 30 December, 2022 between the Mediterranean Programme for International Environmental Law and Negotiation (MEPIELAN Centre), represented by its Director Professor Evangelos Raftopoulos, and the European Public Law Organization (EPLO), represented by its Director, Professor Spyridon Flogaitis

MEPIELAN Centre, represented by its Director, participated in the prestigious 9^th  Environment for Europe Ministerial Conference (Nicosia, Cyprus 5-7 October 2022) organized by the Republic of Cyprus with the support of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) which provides the secretariat for the Environment for Europe process.

MEPIELAN Centre, advancing its research activities in pursuance of the enhancement of its international role, generated a Foundation Discussion Document (FDD) for the “Mediterranean Accession Agenda to the Aarhus Convention” on February 2022.

MEPIELAN Centre, represented by its Director, Professor Evangelos Raftopoulos participated in the 19th Meeting of the Mediterranean Commission on Sustainable Development (MCSD) which was virtually hosted by Slovenia through videoconference from 7 to 9 June 2021. 33 out of 40 MCSD Members (18 Members representing Contracting Parties and 15 Members for Stakeholders Groups) and 7 Observers were represented

MEPIELAN Centre, as a member of Steering Committee of the MCSD and represented by its Director, Professor Evangelos Raftopoulos, participated in the 22nd Meeting of the MCSD Steering  Committee held held on 15 and 16 December 2020 through teleconference.
